In today’s post, we will discuss a few ways that you can simultaneously exercise and have fun. Zumba has been a popular form of exercise for a number of years, and there’s no sign of it going away anytime soon. Many people assume that you have to be good at dancing to enjoy Zumba, but that’s not necessarily the case. Zumba is a type of class where the teacher leads you through a series of moves in time with an upbeat song. Unlike some dance classes, Zumba is relatively simple and designed so that even those with little to no dance experience can have fun. Another bonus is that most of the moves are repeated to fit with the chorus and verses of the songs, so if you don’t get it the first time, you’ll have plenty of chances to get it right. JumpFit is a new class offered by the Rejuvenation Center where the participants wear kangaroo boots and jump around to music. Kangaroo boots are essentially personal trampolines for your feet. The top looks similar to the top of a roller skate, but the bottom has a slightly circular rubber contraption that allows you to jump around like a kangaroo — hence the name. You will bounce through the class doing a series of movements set to upbeat music, much like you would in a Zumba class. The benefit of this class, besides the fact that it doesn’t actually feel like exercise, is that it’s low impact and helps to reduce body fat in your abdomen, hips, legs, and thighs.
